Header: Rental Info - Booking Policy

Holding a Date
Since the Crest is heavily utilized, it is important that you understand our booking policy. When you call for availability, you will be asked if you wish to "hold" the date. This puts you under no obligation to use the date. Your hold will be good for 15 working days specific to the event, meaning that each hold is act or event specific. In other words you cannot change Bob Marley to Devo or a fashion show can not become a concert. In the event that another promoter is bidding for the same date and act, since the hold is act specific, whoever gets the act gets the date. All holds are terminated upon closing of that booking period. Ask manager for booking period deadline.

Challenges
Since your hold is non-binding, it is also open to challenge. In the event that someone else wishes to use the date you have held for another act, they may put down a $250.00 challenge fee (cash or certified check). Once the challenge is effected, the person- with the first hold for the date will be contacted. They will have 48 hours (not including weekends and holidays) to confirm or release the date. In the event that the challenged confirms the date, the challenger is refunded the challenge fee. If the challenged releases the date, the challenger then wins the first hold and all terms of the booking policy continue to apply. The $250 challenge fee would be applied to any deposit required upon confirming the date. If the challenger wins but does not use the date, the challenger loses the challenge fee and any deposit that has been made. In the event that the challenged keeps the date by confirming and then decides not to use it, the challenged loses any deposit made. As you can see, if you really want the date, it is necessary to sign a contract and pay the deposit as soon as possible. Once your date is confirmed it is no longer open to challenge.

Confirmation
When you wish to confirm your date, we will send you two copies of the contract, as complete as possible. Some specific requirements may not be known at the time of confirmation, but if required, will incur additional charges. A list of available services and associated charges is included at the back of this handbook. You must return both contracts with your signature and the noted non-refundable deposit amount. A fully executed copy will then be returned to you. Remember, your date is open to challenge until the signed contract and deposit are received by the Crest. No advertising or announcements of the event may be made, and tickets may not go on sale until the signed contract and deposit are received by our office. At times, this process must be expedited if deadlines are near. Cash or certified check may be Required for your deposit if confirmation is within 45 days of your event.

Event Contract
We urge you to read the "terms and conditions" section of this web site to familiarize yourself with the Crest's policies. This way, the success and enjoyment of your event will not be diminished by any misunderstandings. Remember, this material will be a part of your event contract.

We look forward to helping make your event at the Crest a success.
